Josephat is the Pensions Executive of Construction Industry Pension Fund since 1 August 2014 and has vast working experience spanning over many years in pensions administration and marketing, strategic management and operations, human resources management and broking. Of these years, 15 years have been at various managerial levels. Josephat started his career in January 1994 as a Pensions Administrator with Old Mutual Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd and rose through the ranks to managerial levels. He played a pivotal role during the acquisition and installation of a pensions administration system at Old Mutual Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd for the Employee Benefits Division.
He then left Old Mutual Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd to join Local Authorities Pension Fund (LAPF) on 1 January 2006, as the Pensions Administration Manager a position he held before joining Marsh Insurance Brokers (Employee Benefits Division) in the year 2011. He then left Marsh Insurance Brokers to join Construction Industry Pension Fund on 1 August 2014.
Josephat holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) degree from University of Gloucestershire (UK) and an Executive Diploma in Business Leadership (EDBL) from Zimbabwe Institute of Management. He also holds qualifications in Business Administration and Management; Diploma in Marketing; Customer Relationship Management; Certificate of Proficiency (Long-term Business) from Insurance Institute of Zimbabwe; Business Studies; Supervisory Management and a Certificate of Proficiency in Pension Scheme Trusteeship from Institute of Pension and Payroll Administrators (Zimbabwe).
He is a full member of the Zimbabwe Institute of Management. Josephat was among the pension industry experts invited by the Ministry of Higher & Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development in 2016 and 2017 during the process of reviewing the national curriculum for Pensions and Insurance.
